Imagine this … 

You open Notion and see a neatly filled dashboard with all your broadcast emails from that week, complete with the body content, open and close rates, systematically tagged, and notes on whether you should repurpose them or use them for a specific course funnel. 

Sounds awesome, right? 

Yeah! 🤩

That’s what I thought when I spent just a few minutes and built a complete workflow using the Kit MCP, Notion MCP, and Claude earlier this month. 

This workflow runs on autopilot every week, and all I need to do is open up Notion and then make strategic decisions from what I see in there. 

Not just that … we recently launched Claude Business Accelerator, and the Kit MCP helped me pull together our entire launch debrief dashboard in minutes (something that used to eat an entire afternoon of exports, spreadsheets, and color-coded tabs). 

I could see at a glance which emails carried the launch, which themes pulled the most clicks, and exactly what I needed to send more of in our evergreen funnel.


What is the Kit MCP?

The Kit MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a secure connection between AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini and your Kit account. Once connected, your AI can read your subscriber data, broadcasts, and growth metrics, and take actions inside Kit like drafting emails, tagging subscribers, or enrolling people into sequences.

Translation: you can ask Claude what's working in your email marketing and it'll pull the answer straight from your actual Kit data. No CSV exports. No dashboard digging.

What you can do with the Kit MCP:

  • Read subscriber data, broadcasts, segments, and engagement metrics

  • Draft and schedule broadcasts based on what's working in your historical data

  • Tag and segment subscribers based on actual behavior (clicks, opens, purchases)

  • Audit sequences and forms by conversion rate

  • Identify your most loyal subscribers and customers for VIP campaigns

You set the permissions when you connect, and nothing happens in your account without your approval.

Let me back up a little … 

Earlier this month, a handful of creators were invited to beta test the Kit MCP and yep, yours truly was one of them. 🥳

Without getting all technical, an MCP or model context protocol, in the simplest of terms, is how LLMs, like Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible tool, can “talk” to other tools and software that you use.

It is what makes the difference between using AI to “chat” and using AI to do the work you want it to do.

You can read more about how Kit’s MCP works on Kit’s official MCP page, but here’s the quick version: you connect Claude (or ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible AI tool) to your Kit account using a secure server URL, set the permissions you’re comfortable with, and your AI assistant can now READ your actual Kit data (subscribers, broadcasts, sequences, forms, purchases, growth metrics) AND take action inside your account (drafting broadcasts, tagging subscribers, enrolling people into sequences, managing custom fields, and more).

You stay in control. 

Nothing happens without your approval. AND you can revoke access at any time. 👀

So, without further ado, here are 9 different ways I believe you can use Claude and Kit to make email marketing not only more meaningful (with data) but also more monetizable (read on!).


Note: You can also use ChatGPT and the Kit MCP in the same way.


First up … Connect Claude and Kit. 

  1. To do that, you’ll log into Claude. I use the desktop version, but this would work on the web version of claude.ai as well. 

  2. Next navigate to Customize. 

  3. Then, Connectors 

  4. Then, click the little + sign and “add custom connector”. 

  5. Then, copy Kit’s MCP server URL and paste it into Claude. 

AND DONE! 🎉


9 Ways to Use Kit’s MCP to Make Email Marketing Smarter, More Strategic, More Sales-Focused 

1. Build and update an email vault

If you’ve ever wondered if you could have a single source of truth for your emails, wonder no more! 🙌🏼

The Kit MCP makes it possible so you have a running database of ALL your broadcasts and know exactly which ones to repurpose, which ones to resend (yes, you can do that!) and which ones to move into evergreen funnels or course onboarding funnels. 

Here’s what my Notion email dashboard looks like.

I can focus on writing and repurposing my emails without having to drown in creating and maintaining this manually. 


2. Create an auto-updated Daily Sales Dashboard for your launches

Having this handled means you don’t have to carve out time at the end of a launch and plug in the numbers for your debrief. You can (and actually should!) set this up for evergreen funnels as well.💯


3. Create a LIVE Launch Debrief Dashboard

Using the Kit MCP to pull all my launch emails and the daily sales into a single dashboard on Notion made it ridiculously simple for me to have my debrief done-for-me right when the cart closed

I tested it out for our Claude Business Accelerator launch and LOVED having all my data in one place without spending hours on collating it post-launch. 

FULL disclosure: For this workflow, I did use Notion’s MCP as well as the Tally MCP along with Kit to make it run like a dream! 


4. Understand what’s working with your emails and how to do more of it

You can use the Kit MCP to scrub through hundreds (or in my case, THOUSANDS!) of emails and create a whole list of patterns that work and that don’t – themes, topics, styles and then, use that intel to double down on what’s working.

Data is great, but doing what truly matters with data is where you start to see the “magic” happen. Earlier getting this data would have meant spending hours combing through YEARS of broadcasts. Now? It takes minutes!🤯

Since I already have the Notion database with my emails all set up, I can just point Claude at it. But even if you don’t have that done, you can use the Kit MCP and get insights you can use right away.

5. Scrub under-performing sequences so you can optimize them or ditch them altogether

Similar to analyzing broadcasts, you can also use the Kit MCP to analyze your sequences. You’ll have an at-a-glance overview of what’s working, what isn’t and which sequences need to either be optimized or redone, entirely.

This is the kind of audit most creators skip because it’s tedious. 🤷🏻‍♀️

With the MCP, you can ask Claude to surface your bottom-performing sequence emails by open rate, click rate, or unsubscribe rate, and then ask it to rewrite the weakest ones using patterns from your best-performing broadcasts. One conversation. Real, usable output. 


6. Build a welcome sequence based on YOUR best-performing emails

Here’s where most welcome sequence advice falls apart: it tells you to write a generic 5-email series and call it done. 

But here’s the thing … you already have proof of what your subscribers want to read. It’s sitting in your historical broadcasts.

Point the Kit MCP at your highest-performing emails and ask Claude to identify the themes, hooks, and storytelling patterns that consistently land with your audience. Then have it draft a welcome sequence pulled directly from that data.🙌🏼

What you get isn’t a guess based on what worked for someone else’s audience. It’s a welcome sequence built on what YOUR specific audience has already raised their hand for. Your new subscribers get to meet you the way thousands of others already have, through emails that actually work.


7. Tag and segment subscribers based on real behavior, not guesses

Most of us segment our lists based on what someone opted in for. Useful, but limited. 🙈

The Kit MCP lets you tag subscribers based on what they actually DO, who clicked the link in your last 3 sales emails, who opens 80%+ of your broadcasts, who has purchased multiple times, who never opens but is still subscribed.

You can ask Claude to identify “engaged readers” (anyone with 50%+ open rate over the last 90 days) and tag them as such. With your approval, Claude will actually go in and apply the tag inside Kit.

Now your “engaged” segment is built on actual subscriber behavior. You can sell to it with confidence. And your “cold” segment is one you can either re-engage or sunset (more on that in a moment).


8. Run a subscriber list health check

If your open rates have been dropping, your list health is the first place to look. A bloated list with disengaged subscribers tanks deliverability for the people who DO want to hear from you.

Ask the Kit MCP for a list health snapshot: open rates over the last 90 days vs. the 90 before that, subscribers who haven’t opened anything in 6 months, unsubscribe rates by form, growth trends month over month.

Then, with that data in hand, you can make a strategic decision. 💯

Maybe it’s a re-engagement sequence for subscribers who’ve started ignoring you in their inbox.

Maybe it’s a list cleanup (cutting dead weight is hard but your deliverability will thank you).

Maybe it’s adjusting which lead magnets you push, because one form is bringing in way better subscribers than another.

This is the kind of analysis I used to put off for months because it was such a pain to compile manually. Now it takes a single prompt.


9. Find your most loyal subscribers and customers for VIP campaigns

Your top 5% of subscribers are gold. 

They’re your warmest leads, your future case studies, your beta testers, and your referral engine.

Ask the Kit MCP to identify your most loyal customers (repeat buyers, highest LTV, longest tenure) and your most engaged subscribers (highest open and click rates over a sustained period).

Then use that intel to:

  • Invite them to a private beta of your next offer

  • Ask for testimonials and case studies (the kind that actually convert)

  • Offer them a loyalty bonus or early access pricing

  • Send a quick survey to learn what to build next

  • Schedule quick no-pitch, research calls to get that rich voice of customer data that can make your next launch your most profitable one. 

These are the people who already love you. Treating them like VIPs is how you build a brand that lasts longer than any algorithm. 

BONUS use case: If you use AI to write your emails, you can now have AI schedule them with the Kit MCP, too. 

Yep, the broadcast scheduling feature is super neat but for someone like me who writes her own emails directly in Kit, I actually prefer the other use cases more than this one. 

But hey, if you want to hire email copywriting out to AI, using the Kit MCP will make you life so much easier because now you can have your newsletter written AND scheduled by AI. If you set it up as a Scheduled Task in Claude, it would happen every week without you need to type a single word. 

Review it. 

Approve it. 

Send it.

Here’s the thing about AI + your email list: just because you CAN automate doesn’t mean you SHOULD automate everything.
